Arrival Day - Cape Town/arrival

On arrival in Cape Town you will be met and have a private road transfer to your hotel. Sightseeing tours of Cape Town as per request.

 

The most important part is to get the structure of the trip right and you can then always add day tours. There is lots to do in Cape Town from Table Mountain to the V&A Waterfront, Robben Island Tour (prison where Nelson Mandela stayed for more than 20 years), Cape Point Nature Reserve with Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach with the African penguins, the Cape winelands, Cape Town city markets and more. Day 01 - Cape Town – Windhoek - Okahirongo Elephant Lodge (B/L/D)

Early in the morning private transfer to Cape Town Airport in time for check-in for your flight SW 702 to Windhoek. Etd:0635/Eta: 0845. Continue your journey  with a light aircraft flight to the Purros region (approx. 2 ½ hours flying time) to. You will stay 2 nights at the Okahirongo Elephant Lodge. Here you have: scheduled lodge activities (Himba village visit, nature drives, walks), house wine at meal times, soft drinks and coffees/ teas. 2 overnights at the Okahirongo Lodge, set in one of Namibia's most remote destinations: the Purros Conservancy in the dramatic Kaokoland area, deep in far north Namibia and home to the striking and enigmatic Himba people. (it's a no risk Malaria destination)

 

Day 02 Okahirongo Elephant Lodge (B/L/D)

At Okahirongo Elephant Lodge you will have guided activities with the other guests but there is not a set programme as such. This is for guests keen on the Himbas and giving them time to spend quite a bit of time in the Himba village on the full day you have at the lodge as well as go on a nature drive and maybe a guided walk. Activities are included here. Discuss what you wish to do with the managers at the lodge and your programme will be scheduled accordingly. Overnight at Okahirongo Lodge.

 

Day 03 Okahirongo Elephant Lodge – Windhoek (B)

After breakfast have a light aircraft transfer to Windhoek Eros airport, approx. 2 ½ hours flying time. On arrival road transfer to your upmarket Guesthouse which is only for an overnight because the flights don’t connect. You will arrive in Windhoek in the early afternoon and can explore the city at leisure. Stay at Olive Grove Gueshouse, situated in a quiet and peaceful area close to Windhoek's city centre which is ideal for exploring the vibrant capital of Namibia. Have dinner at Olive Grove or at a nearby restaurant Windhoek is not the most exciting city so there really isn’t that much of interest but why not relax in the open-air lounge, spa bath, or plunge pool? Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the tranquil gardens - an oasis in this vibrant city.

 

Day 04 Windhoek – Victoria Falls/Zimbabwe (B)

After breakfast transfer to Windhoek International Airport in time for check-in for your flight SW 405 flight to Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe). Etd:1450/ Eta:1625. Upon arrival shared (not private) transfer to your hotel. Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi River - 2 hours including local drinks & snacks. You will stay at the Ilala Lodge, situated within walking distance of the spectacular Victoria Falls:  the ideal base from which to explore the world's largest sheet of falling water. The lodge is situated on the Zimbabwean side of the Falls and is perfect for those who want to experience all that this Natural Wonder has to offer. 2 nights a the Ilala Lodge.

 

Day 05 Victoria Falls (B)

After breakfast  go at your leisure or organise a guided tour for your todays's activities. We also can pre arrange white-water rafting on the Zambezi River, tranquil boat cruises downstream, or thrilling micro light flights to see the top of the Falls. Stand on the renowned Victoria Falls Bridge and admire the view or take the plunge with a thrilling bungee jump. The National Park borders the front of the lodgeas property, and animals are frequently seen grazing on the lawns. Day 06 Victoria Falls – Choebe National Park (Botswana) (B/L/D)

After breakat have a shared (not private) road transfer to your Chobe National Park (Botswana) lodge. You will stay 2 nights at Safari Lodge, including meals , two game drives & two river safari fees as well as park fees. Situated right on the Chobe River and bordering the Chobe National Park, Chobe Safari Lodge offers excellent opportunities to explore these two wildlife-rich environments, while enjoying a tranquil and secluded accommodation. Overnight at Chobe Safari Lodge.

 

Day 07 – Choebe National Park (Botswana) (B/L/D)

Exciting gaming Time with Chobe Safari Lodge! Get a different perspective of the wildlife on a boat cruise during the day, or head out at night to witness a spectacular African sunset. Anglers have the chance to go out and catch the legendary tiger fish with the possibility of a hippo or elephant wading past. Alternatively, embark on a day trip to the exciting Victoria Falls. Overnight at Chobe Safari Lodge.

 

Day 08 – Choebe National Park – Kasane – Johannesburg – Durban – Kwa Zulu Natal Coast (B)

Today the lodge will transfer you to the airport in Kasane for check-in with SA8307 flight from Kasane to Johannesburg 1355/ 1545. Then take your next flight with SA 575 from Johannesburg to Durban  Etd:1755/ Eta:1905. Upon arrival you will have a private transfer to your hotel where you stay for one night at the Hotel. Day 09 – Kwa Zulu Natal Coast – Zululand Village - (B)

A guide & private vehicle will pick you up after breakfast. Today you will visit a Zululand village & go on a game drive in Hluhluwe Game Reserve . Situated at the foot of the legendary Ghost Mountain near Mkuze, in picturesque Zululand, is the Ghost Mountain Inn, a privately owned  propertu. It is the gateway to the cultural, historical and ecological wonders of northern KwaZulu Natal. The inn is set in an extensive country garden dotted with enormous fig trees and private shady spots. You will stay one night at Ghost Mountain Inn.

 

Day 10 – Zululand Village – Swaziland – Mantenga Cultural Village (B)

Today you continue your guided tour to Swaziland, where you will go to the Mantenga Cultural Village. Day 11 – Mantenga Cultural Village – Johannesburg (B)

After breakfast continue your journey to your next destination Johannesburg.You will visit a glass factory in Swaziland before heading for Johannesburg 1 night at City Lodge O.R. Today you take your flight SA8260 flight from Johannesburg to Vilanculos (Mozambique) Etd:1130/ Eta: 1310,  you stay 2 nights at Casa Rex - Premium Room including breakfast and airport transfers. Tour suggestion: a tour of Vilanculos town to get a feel for present day Mozambique! Check into your guest house on mainland Mozambique, with sweeping views of the sparkling ocean and islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago. Day 13 –Vilanculos (Mozambique) (B)
