Upon arrival in Nairobi, you are greeted at the airport and escorted to your hotel. Relax, maybe get a spa treatment before your adventure begins. Why not relaxing one day more in Nairobi and do a city tour:

The Nairobi city walking tour covers the modern city center the colorful City Market, Parliament buildings, the Nairobi railway station museum and the renowned National Museum where there are spell binding displays of the early man tribal regalia and the flora and fauna of Kenya and end the tour with the visit to the adjacent Snake Park. Overnight at Crowne Plaza.

 

DAY 1 & 2 Nairobi - Amboseli National Park/Tanzania (B/L/D)

After breakfast drive to Amboseli National Park, with game viewing en-route to the lodge. The majestic snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro’s 19,352 foot peak dominates the area. Today take off on an early morning game drive, the best time to see the Kilimanjaro and the animals as they become active for the day. Return back to the lodge for a delicious breakfast before additional game drives throughout the day.
The early morning and late afternoon photographic opportunities here are incredible, with plentiful game and Mt. Kilimanjaro (the highest freestanding mountain in the world) providing an impressive and majestic backdrop.

Overnights are at Tortilis Camp, an exclusive tented lodge on the edge of the Reserve. Enjoy the luxury of going out with a Maasai expert for a guided game walk outside the park. Take a game drive in an open-sided vehicle. Watch elephant families close by as they forage just outside camp. Relax in the lounge and gaze at the awe-inspiring view of Africa’s highest mountain: Kilimanjaro. Eat a delicious home style meal, made with vegetables and herbs grown in camp. Take in the view from your tent verandah. At night, the sounds of the bush lull you to sleep.

DAY 3  Amboseli National Park – Arusha (B)

Today cross the border into Tanzani and drive to Arusha, situated at the foot of Mount Meru, Africa's 5th highest mountain. The altitude gives the city a pleasant climate and lush green environment. You arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon relaxing at the hotel or you have the option of a cultural excursion to nearby villages These kind of visits can be some of the most rewarding parts of a trip to East Africa. The 'Ilkiding'a and Ng'iresi tour program are within an hour's hike of Arusha. Within an hour's drive  are "Monduli Juu, Longido, Mulala, Tengeru, Ilkurot and Oldonyo Sambu" tour programs:  Learn about the Maasai and Meru tribes who live nearby, pastoralism, agriculture, stories & legends, local economies. Overnight at Serena Hotel Arusha.

 

DAY 4 & 5  Arusha - Tarangire National Park (B/L/D)                 

After breakfast depart for Tarangire National Park THE Old Africa: It is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania after Ruaha, Serengeti, Mikumi, Katavi and Mkomazi and is located in Manyara Region. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire river crossing through the park,,, the only source of water for wild animals during the dry season, where  thousands of animals migrate to the Tarangire National Park from Manyara National Park. The park is also famous for the termite mounds that dot the landscape. The abandoned ones are now home to dwarf mongoose.

 

You arrive in time for lunch and of course another afternoon game drive. This unique park has an intriguing atmosphere, with ancient baobab trees, scrub bush, strangely horned antelopes and tall giraffes. It is less visited  than the others however is a magical experience. 2 overnights at Sopa Lodge.

 

DAY 6 Tarangire National Park - Lake Manyara National Park (B/L/D)              

After breakfast head for the Lake Manyara National Park,  “the loveliest place" Ernest Hemingway has seen in Africa, which is a shallow lake in the Natron-Manyara-Balangida branch of the East African Rift in Manyara Region in Tanzania.

 

Lake Manyara National Park, covers approximately 89 square miles (231 km2).  It is not only know for baboons, but is alsohome to hippos, impalas, elephants, wildebeests, buffalo, warthogs and giraffes. Overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge

DAY 7  Lake Manyara National Park - Gibb’s Farm – Ngorongoro Highlands (B/L/D)

After breakfast continue yourjourney to Ngorongoro Highlands. Before arrival there have a tour of Gibbs Farm where you have the option to hike to the waterfalls and elephant caves. further into the Ngorongoro World Heritage Site and Conservation Area. Enjoy the magnificent changing scenery. Your lodge sits on the rim of the crater with panoramic views of the park below. Ngorongoro is the world’s largest intact caldera, with its rim averaging 7,600 feet in elevation. Overnight at Serena Hotel Ngorongoro.

 

DAY 8 Ngorongoro Crater (B/L/D)

After breakfast descend 2,000 feet in a 4×4 vehicle into the Ngorongoro Crater, where more than 30,000 animals can be found within the crater walls creating a spectacular game viewing. It is home to the largest non-migratory populations of wildlife in East Africa, including prides of lion, the rare black rhino, elephant, cheetah, antelope, great herds of Cape buffalo and so many more. Explore the forest areas, where the monkeys live; the lake area, where you may see the beautiful flamingos; and the open savannahs, where the majestic lions hunt for food. Overnight at Serena Hotel Ngorongoro.

 

DAY 9 Olduvai Gorge To Serengeti National Park (B/L/D)           

Time for early morning birds to visit a Maasai Village. Then continue off the main road to Olduvai Gorge, the famed archaeological site where the Leakey family discovered one of the oldest known human skulls. Drive a little further west to one of your safari’s highlight: The Serengeti. A display of the greatest wildlife spectacle in the world. Each day offers surprises as the daily wildlife is never the same – so don’t expect routine…

 

DAY 10 & 11 Serengeti National Park (B/L/D)

This is the Africa I always remember. “Siringiti”, the endless plains of the Maasais and world’s most famous 10,000 square mile sanctuary.Take morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti. You can’t get enough of it!

 

DAY 12 Serengeti – Arusha  (B/L)                                                              

After your last game in the morning drive to the airstrip and fly back to Arusha, arriving in time for lunch. A dayroom has been provided for you to unwind and relax before your international departure.
