7 DAYS / 6 NIGHTS - CLASSIN TAIWAN
(TAIPEI - SUN MOON LAKE - TAINAN CITY - KAOHSIUNG - KENTING NATIONAL PARK - TAITUNG - EAST COAST - HUALIEN - TAIPEI)

 

DAY 1: TAIPEI

Arrival to Taiwan from BKK. Meet and transfer to Taipei with a guide and private coach. Upon arrival to Taipei city, visit the famous Lungshan Tempel - very popular for worshiping Guanshiyin Buddha and other divine spirits. The temple was built in Chianlung 5th year in Ching Dynasty. Due to natural disaster and damages caused by men, it was destroyed and restored several times. It not only offers beautifully decorated doors, beams, and poles, a pair of bronze dragon poles in the front hall, four pairs of dragon poles in the middle hall, delicate sculptures and exquisite wood work, but the temple has many Chinese poems, verses and lyrics on signs which add a touch of literature to the religious and sightseeing value. There are traditional streets and shops, antique shops, Buddhists article shops, and Chinese medicine shops surrounding the temple. A great place to visit! And of course do not miss the Huashi Street Night Market which is located nearby the Lungshan Temple.Shop till you drop - various commodities are sold here and it is one of the tourist fave sites. Chinese traditional lamps along the street, old, historical shops providing great dishes.Taste the tansi noodle restaurant. In the summer, chopped ice plates and fresh juice are in great demand. In the winter, dishes with Chinese medicine attract many visitors. Overnight at the hotel.

 

DAY 2: TAIPEI - SUN MOON LAKE

After breakfast your journeys continues to Nantou. Here you will embark on a tour of Sun Moon Lake - located in the middle of Taiwan - which is the only natural large lake in Taiwan. The southern part of Kuang-Hua Island is shaped like a new moon, and the northern part is shaped like a sun; hence the name Sun-Moon Lake. Enjoy the most famous sights around Sun-Moon Lake which are the Tehua Village, the Tse-En Pagoda, and the Holy Monk Shrine. Overnight at Sun Moon Lake.

 

DAY 3: SUN MOON LAKE - TAINAN CITY - KAOHSIUNG

After breakfast drive to the heart of Taiwanes culture - Tainan City - a city with more than 200 temples. This traditional town is a frequent staging ground for elaborate processions and ceremonies, with fireworks displays, burning of ghost money, tributes, music and open air banquets. Famed temples here include Taiwan's oldest Confucian temple as well as the extremely active Tien Tan temple, and the huge, colorful Chuhsi temple. Directly South of Tainan is Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s second largest city. Relax a the Love River and shop at the Ho Night Market. Overnight.

 

DAY 4: KAOHSIUNG - KENTING NATIONAL PARK - TAITUNG

Today you continue to Taiwan’s only tropical National Park, The Kenting National Park. This is Taiwan's most densely populated National Park and provides visitors with a view of typical Taiwanese rural life. In addition, the National Park includes mountains, forests, lakes, sand dunes, beaches, and coral reefs. A morning tour to Kenting National Park includes a stop will at Oluanpi lighthouse and Maopitou coastal scenic area and the Kenting forest recreation area. Overnight in Taitung.

 

DAY 5: TAITUNG - EAST COAST - HUALIEN

Today experience a unique part of Taiwan. After breakfast you continue to the East Coast where you will visit Siaoyeliou, Sansientai, the Stone Steps and the Caves of the Eight Immortals. Later on in the afternoon you will arrive in the city of Hualien and stay overnight.

 

DAY 6: HUALIEN - TAIPEI

Continue to the Taroko Gorge, known for its sheer marble cliffs, deep gorges, winding tunnels, and the Liwu River, which flows through its craggy landscape. This landscape originated over 230 million years ago, when coral reefs formed in the tropical shallows where Taiwan is now located. Time transformed the coral into limestone. You will continue your journey to the Eternal Spring Shrine, the Swallow Caves and the Tunnel of Nine. Later in the evening you are back to Taipei.

 

DAY 7: TAIPEI / DEPARTURE DAY

Departure transfer (Flight TBA). Free time until departure transfer to Taoyuan International Airport with guide and private coach. End of tour.
